An excellent goal by Marchand last night. Deked Fisher right out of his pants, and a quick release. Good to see him regaining his form, they are going to need him to continue to produce. If only he would limit the turnovers, and get pucks in deep. Frustrating to watch him try and dance his way through multiple defenders, then turn the puck over.

The real test is coming up next week when they hit their West Coast swing. Some tough games against very good opponents. First real measuring stick for the Bruins this season.

Credit Claude for running 3 forwards in OT again. 60% of the time, it works every time.

Good read. It's been almost infuriating at times watching Marchand play this season, trying to figure out why he's struggling. That shot chart was awesome, really made it clear that Marchy just isn't getting to the net enough and that very well could be because of Eriksson. I think Smith fits into the grinding scoring type styles of Bergy and Marchy better than Eriksson, and while his scoring may be opening eyes Ive been blown away by his playmaking skills all year. Just an all around talent. Eriksson may be good defensively, but he's most definitely a high skill guy. I'd love to see Spooner play with Eriksson. Get Spooner on the ice with a star goal scorer and watch them be the best third line in the NHL.

Random thought about Marchand. Should he try using a smaller stick? Now obviously he knows best, but Ive seen him grow from a grinder to an offensive threat. Im not sure the long stick benefits him they way it would have when he was just a grinder. He would have a much easier time with the puck around his feet and I imagine would be able to shoot quicker. He'd probably just have quicker hands in general. Just a thought...

Caron should not see the ice again, Florek has looked good in his debut. And obviously when healthy he is down the chart but had enough of 38

Wheeler makes the Olympic team but not Buff and Krüg? Sheesh.
